No Editor in Open Directory Category
Will I get indexed?

I've tried submitting my site to the Open Directory a couple times-- the latest info I had said they'd index you typically in 2 weeks. I waited 1 month after the 1st submit, and have submitted again (been at least the 2 weeks...)

But I noticed that the category I have submitted to does not have an editor. How can I ever get listed if there's no editor to look at my submission?

Become the editor yourself! but I wouldn't worry to much about the lack of an editor, I submitted a site last month and the category had no editor within 2 weeks the site was listed, or could consider sending an e-mail to the next editor up from your category

An editor in the cat above may add you.
Indeed it would be a good idea to email them asking them to.
As for time it can take 10 minutes to 10 months plus- it just depends on the cat.

hurlimann has it right. The Editor in the category above will probably address your site. In some cases, however, you may need to go up 3 or 4 levels before you get to an editor, so it could take a while.

Be reasonable. Give them a month to 6 weeks to get to your site. If you haven't seen anything by then, contact the editor by e-mail with a polite message asking for help. That will usually get the ball rolling.

Good luck!
