Are you penalized from you IP address? beasscr msg:703214 4:26 pm on Nov 27, 2001 (gmt 0) I know that there is a limit to how many pages you can submit to the search engines, but does that mean from your IP address.
I'm not sure if the search engines penalize from the IP address or from submitting too many pages that belong to a specific domain.

They detect the IP if they notice excessive submissions that they deem abusive. That is why there is problems with using automated submission tools. Tapolyai msg:703216 12:04 am on Nov 28, 2001 (gmt 0)
Ouch! This could be a big problem for small hosted web sites if true.
Most web sites (one of our divisions is a host), and I mean truly most, are on shared server, and the IP address can be the same for 10 to 15 sites, easily. Submitting 5 to 10 pages for each of those sites could generate 50 to 150 hits from the same IP.
