Ian, I have gotten these all week.....they are the ones that take the screen shot of your homepage and use it in an image, right? I actually got one today....and yesterday...and the day before. Very aggravating! <by the way> Brett, I think this is a different one </by the way>

Yes, those are the ones. And yes I am still getting them for sites that I am optimising. Must be one of the SEs or Directories, I don't use multiple submitters (any more).

It's the listing in ODP probably. I recently did a site that's only been online for a week. Submitted to ODP and luckily got listed within a couple of days. Two days after that client forwards me the email asking why he's not in ALL the engines within 10 days. arrgh!! :)

Out of curiosity, are they being sent to email addresses in your domains' whois information? I got 1 of these once, I replied pretending to be a lawyer and said some stuff about spam and about copyright violation of my website (from the snapshot). The snapshot disappeared quickly and no more emails.
