Some one must really love my sites !
An unwanted helping hand.

Yesterday someone kindly submitted 100s of pages from my sites to a number of completely off-topic search engines.

Thanks for the helping hand who ever you are, but I just can't see any New York Magicians being interested in my dog websites :)

I suspect that this is some kind of attempt to dillute the theme of my site.

It sure is a dog eat dog world out there.
Sorry to hear that mark_roach.

sorry to hear that

I am wondering (so I can be sure it doesn't happen to me), how did you know that someone had submitted your site?

I was just wading through my logs and saw a number of strange referalls all from the same IP.

eg. - - [16/Jul/2001:03:43:24 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 5188 "http://indiabook.com/search/addurl.html" "CGI" - - [16/Jul/2001:03:49:05 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 6826 "http://www.lighting-linx.com/links_form.html" "CGI"

To be honest I am not too worried, I suspect the sites won't even get listed in the engines anyway.

I just found it amusing that someone would go to all that trouble. I can't even be bothered to submit my own sites anymore, let alone anyone else's :)
