New Site
Should I use sub domains?

I am getting different signals depending upon which threads I read, so want to clarify before I proceed any further.

I am just about to build a new site for villa rentals and want to know if I should have a main domain which contains all general information about the region with links to all sub domains containing info for the individual villas ... or ...

Is it best to have just one domain and use extentions for the individual villas?

I would go with subdirectorys. I use sub-domains if it is a completely new subject.

we use subdomains for localities. Lots of great rankings.
