What does this mean? from the whois ScottM msg:698775 6:25 am on Mar 31, 2002 (gmt 0) What does this mean?
"Domain not found locally, but Registry points back to local DB.
Local whois DB must be out of date. Whois Server Version 1.3"
According to the whois at netsol.com, they own this domain, now.
I would like to buy it. It was registered to some guy in Toronto Canada some few days ago.
Do I have a prayer?

That (usually) means that NSI has begun the deletion process. The domain you're watching will probably be free to grab within a week.
Whether you're the one who grabs it, of course, depends on timing, luck, and resources.

I think when this message appears, there is a six day countdown until the name is deleted. Some of the sites specialising in deleted domain names can normally give you a predicted drop date for the domain.
