I am trying to find a perl script to check for expired domains

Does anyone know where I could find a script to periodically check domain names for expiration? I've got quite a few names and I want something that checks once a day for expiration dates and lets me know when available. Thanks

try this code:
#!/usr/bin/perl
print "Content-type:text/html\n\n";
@domains = ( "yahoo.com", "msn.com", "aol.com", "domainnamethatisavailable.com" );
foreach $domain (@domains) {
if (`whois $domain` =~ "No match for \"") {
print "$domain is available<br>";
}
}
this script is fairly simple: you enter the domain names you want to check into the array and it tells you which ones are available. for convenience, you could set up a crontab to have it run daily and modify it to e-mail when a domain name becomes available.

hope this helps,

Jason

Ah, I would advise caution!
Add a sleep command in there!

If you have a static IP you will be banned from NSI. Make sure you don't check to many to fast!

NSI added this in January.

Here's a program that will help.

[watchmydomains.com...]

Looks like it will do what you are requesting.

Why do I feel tag-teamed?

Looks like you need to drop the "s" off that URL above.

Actually, I think Yahtool was refering to Watch My Domains [softnik.com], a neat little program put out by Softnik. The free version will wathc a limited number of domains, whereas the pro version is unlimited.

I have played with WmD and can cetainly reccommend it.
