Is it true that a domain name is required to be hosted, to be meet the terms of registration?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld jk321, good news ... ...nope, it does not need to be hosted, it just needs to have DNS servers listed. I tried a new registrar a few days ago and registered six domains, you can assign them the Public DNS servers at [granitecanyon.com...] , I only have some idea of what to do with two of them, so the other four can sit and "park" for free :)

I register all domains for $13.50 at www.000domains.com and they stay at the granitecanyon.com location until I make the change to where they'll be hosted. Changes are a snap to make, and I've never had any problems.
