Multiple domain names on one web host account?

I already have a main domain for my homepage. At the moment additional websites are held in folders this account (e.g. mysite.com/cars/).

Access to the site is done via this main domain at the moment but can be done via a subdomain of my host (mysite.com or me.myhost.com), the server itself is a shared hosting package.

Is it possible to have a domain that points to one of these subfolder, and how would it be implimented?

Yes it should be possible.
But how to implement it depends on what operating system your web server runs.
If it is Apache try posting your query in the Apache Web Server Forum [webmasterworld.com ]

If it is IIS either the Microsoft Related - .NET and ASP Forum [webmasterworld.com ] or the Microsoft Windows OS Forum [webmasterworld.com ] could the right forum to ask.

Thanks. I've just about managed to set them up now (transfered to web host and a 301 redirect to get the new domain used instead of the old URL) and they seem to be working properly :)
