| Selling a domain name

I have a domain that is a hypenated version of a major site's brand url, and want to sell it. I've never actually gone through the process of selling a domain to a big company before - can anyone give me any advice? Am also trying to decide whether to contact the company itself and offer them the domain, or whether to approach one of their competitors.

Brand? Trademark? Non-generic type domain/keywords? Give it to them and say "thank you for not suing me". End of discussion.

Webwork brings up some good points. Check out the ICANN rules about domains and make sure you are on the right side of the land before you contact any company... ANY COMPANY. That's a senior and a junior told you. Who'd have thunk it.
