Yes it's a scam. They try to get you to buy appraisals and never buy domains.

I have ditch the email, the thing that ade me laugh he offered $600 for the domain name and then asked me to get it valued.... DOH!

and that 600 carrot dangling has worked on a lesser mind more than a time or three. It's just a small time version of the distraught chap in Nigeria, the one with access to an abandoned 40 odd million, and if only there was just some kind person who could share their banking details, the funds could be spirited away. Peeps bite on that carrot every year. $$ do weird things to some minds.

Hello Kevinpate: I think the chap in Nigeria has opened a branch office in Senegal. The spam filter in Firefox catches most of those on the second pass if not the first. Somewhere, I read about a guy who went along with all this. There was a meeting set up in Holland. Very interesting. I can't remember if the victim was a cop or not, but it sounds like a sure-fire sting if so! Best - Larry
