Hi

Does anyone know if it possible to check the previous owners of a .co.uk domain name?

Thanks

You would need somebody with a copy of the zone files for the given date.

A longshot [archive.org...] might help with the content from which you may be able to workout the owner

Which one are you, Shak? ;)

Archive.org is no use as there was no site.

I did hear a rumour Shak has great contacts ranging from the lowest of the low to royalty and his mailbox needed filling.

Why not just try phoning Nominet. They claim a duty to make the records it holds available to everyone :)

I did speak to Nominet and I normally find them very helpful, but they said they couldn't help me out with this request.

Whois Source offers two-year name history with a paid membership; unfortunately, I do not think it includes .co.uk domains.

Doesn't whois source "history" show who searched for the name through their systems rather than who owned it?
