They are $14CDN for .ca and $14 US for .com, .net and .org. www.easyhosting.com is also in that same ballpark but they managed to keep the .com, .net and .org to $15 CDN. Which is $10 US for you Americans out there.

Brett, as a non-Canadian resident you would be entitled to reclaim the GST.

GST is a whopping 7% - that's a whole 98 pennies on $14. ;)

I still don't get the full story. Ok, so $28 canadian for two years + GST at 7% ($1.40 canadian). That makes sense. The part that troubles me is how is this setup? Is that standard full rights registered in your name? A normal registration? There are some regestars out there that are registering domains in THEIR name and then leasing you back the domain name. Is that what this setup is? How can they be that much cheaper than anyone else? Everyone else is in the $40-$50 range for two years.

Oil, Air - any problem with moving this out into the new Domain Names forum? (ya, I'm going to give the forum a shot).

Brett, I'm cool with firing this over to the new forum. I have used easyhosting.com and everything seems fine. Another friend of mine has used easyhosting.com many times and always moves the domains to his servers after registration. He hasn't had a problem yet.

I forgot about that OpenSRS/Tucows setup. There is also bulk buys real cheap from DotRegistrar.com [dotregistrar.com]. ($8.99 for 100domains, $7.99 for 300 domains).
