Interesting set of articles here [ecommercebase.com] entitled "Domain Appraising - The Domain Name Fair Value Game".

<quote> As you can see, the valuations range from $200 to $160,000. <unquote>

Kinda makes you go "Hmmm..."

Generic terms are the future of domain for profit sales. Thats if you want to sell domains for a one time pay-out.

Since the future holds little for so called "cybersquatters" We have taken our entire stock of domains and are now going to have them developed into international portals.

This is valuable trend to be included in as portals will be how most future users get their information. China will have more online users by 2006 than the entire world does. Currently they dont use search engines they use portals.

Trends as large as this can create very good possibilities for domain holders if they find the right people to partner with.

So keep up hope, drop the catchy cute names and hold on to the popular generic terms.
