Geotargeting using IP Delivery.

Is using geotargeting via IP delivery frowned upon by search engines?

I'd like to use it not to trick the engines on one of the new sites I'm working on but more so to provide the most relevant site information based on geographical location (ie. serve up Japanese content for Japanese visitors, Spanish content for Spanish visitors, etc...).

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Aleks

I've never heard of anybody having problems using geotargeting/IP delivery.

Also, the search engines themselves practice it :)

Hi volatilegx,

Thanks that's what I thought I see several sites using it when I test using proxies on various countries and they rank well for search terms in each language which is more or less what I'm going for as well...

Thanks!
