Hi, I really want to cloak dynamic images by useragent. I have a possible 35,000 images that can be called. Currently I am caching the image if that particular image has been called at least 5 times as I don't want 35,000 images in my cache directory. I was thinking of serving up a blank image of the same dimensions if the useragent is of a well know spider to both save system resources and stopping that image from being cached. Should I? Or is it not worth the risk of being banned?

You won't be banned for cloaking images. Most search engines don't request images.
