Hi All,

A website that is in my sector, we will call abc.com i have just discovered has a re-direct cloaked doorway page.

On this doorway page to their site (which flashes up for about one second) are a number of links to sites in its sector.

These links are anchor links to the name of their site but are links out. ie my site link carries the anchor abc.com for it - they do this ontop of other competitor sites in my section.

I dont truely understand black hat but can anyone tell me what the advantage is to them?

Obviously i wouldnt benefit as no one would be able to click on it as its gone in a second, i do however get a backlink from it but they must have a reason for going to the trouble of doing this?

Any thoughts anyone on this?

Maybe he feels on topic outgoing links will benefit him (I dont know if they do? or how they would)
And he does not want his competitors or for that matter visitors to see them.
