Search any engine for "anonymous proxy" or "public proxy". There are many lists that are widely distributed. Since you posted this under cloaking, you should also pay attention to the many different types of proxies. Some proxies are more helpful than others.
As a relative newbie I am constantly reading these forums for information but often find that I have little to contribute in comparison to regular posters here who seems so clued in on everything.
However, I can point out a legitimate (well, sort of) use of proxies which I use occasionally.
I am British, but live in Poland. I very often use the BBC's website for all sorts of information, however, they will not allow me to view video files as they must recognise the IP address I am coming from as being outside the UK. Apparently, you must pay a subscription to view some of the archived media files if you do not live in Britain.
So, if I use a proxy server in Britain it makes it look like the request to view the files comes from the UK and consequently I can view them without having to cough up some money!
