Is it bad if someboyd is cloaking and links to you? Just wondering ogletree msg:676304 4:15 pm on Jul 11, 2003 (gmt 0) I spoke to a company that wants put cloaking on my site and put links to my site on their cloaked pages. They say they have designed it in a way that Google would never know and even if a human looked at it they would not know. I looked at their pages and when I click on links they have in the SERPS there are no links to their clients but when you click on the cache they are there. Their clients all have them in their backlinks. I have no plans to let them put cloaking on my site but I might have them put links to my site on theirs is that a bad thing?

The fact that you are "asking" this question should have alarm bells ringing...
Its "risky territory" if you go down that route, so make sure you are well prepared if things go wrong.

What Shak said and
I looked at their pages and when I click on links they have in the SERPS there are no links to their clients but when you click on the cache they are there. This is poorly done cloaking IMHO. If the industries are at all competitive, it's just a matter of time until a competitor notices the cache and the page don't match up and file a spam report.
If you're gonna share links with a cloaker, at least find a competent cloaker! :)

You noticed the difference...and I assume you are human?

"Run Forrest, Run!"
Their pages meant for spiders show up in the cache? Be polite and point this out to them. You might get a laugh listening to the guy at the other end of the phone turn sickly green.
