Flash and cloaking for search engines
Is it acceptable?

I'm just about to launch a new site composed entirely of Flash. There will be a text-only site, too, but I'd like, ideally, links to go into the flash site.

Is it acceptable, do you think, to give the text-only version (which contains exactly the same content) to Google's bot, to enable it to correctly crawl it; but for all other users to give them the flash version?

So - same content, just easier for the Googlebot to crawl?

You might get away with differentiating between Flash enabled and non-enabled browsers, rather than targeting spiders per se.

That's a good idea - thanks.
