Sites on virtual IPs - considered as cloaking?
Do some search engines drop virtual IPs

I have been told by an associate that because my sites are hosted on an IIS4 server certain search engines will penalize them as the vitual IP is detected and considered as cloaking.

Can anybody confirm this and any ideas which search engines are involved?.

Cheers.

Many thanks for your help.
As a matter of interest has anybody heard of this 'theory' before?.

Here is a good paper to read id2. Most of the brains behind every search engine research each others research in order to improve their own technology.
