Need Java framework for creating PDFs...

 10:34 pm on Feb 20, 2002 (gmt 0)

Hiya, got an application written in WebObjects/Java that we want to add PDF creation functionality to. I've looked at a couple of commercial options (ReportMill and PDFGenerator) that look good. Unfortunatly, they are also rather expensive.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences using other options?

I'm confident you've already looked but this search [google.com] returned some promising results. Can anyone offer evinrude a suggestion or two?

Heh, seems I missed the obvious solution here. :) We are pulling our data from Oracle. According to our DB admin it can generate PDF reports. Still, found lots of interesting stuff in all the web searching. Just wish my knowledge of Java was better so I could understand it all. ;)
