Help required on choosing a graphics card for a server

Hello Webmasters

I have found a Service Provider that can give a home to servers built by their customers.

So I am going to build my own rather than going for a branded machine.

The problem I have is deciding what Graphics Card I should buy and put inside it, I am worried that if I make the wrong choice it will affect the performance of the server.

One job the server will have is image creation using PHP (Graphs, Barcharts etc), and also image resizing using PHP.

Any comments appreciated :)

Thanks

Anne

A webserver? Do you even plan on putting a display on it? Put the cheapest card you can find (within reason) in there. After all, you probably plan to pull the display, keyboard, and mouse off of it the day you install it don't you?

As amoore said.

Spend the money you save on on CPU and memory ... the things you list above will appreciate it.

Ps. - welcome to WebmasterWorld - I'll take a stab at your mod_rewrite question tomorrow ;)
