Ok, so there is Newshub, Moreover for freebies. Any others?

I won't do Moreover because of the huge javascript required and everyone is running it, and newshub doesn't have enough coverage. Looking for free options...

Try isyndicate. The linking code is to an external js. and you have a huge choice of content to offer.

try some of the RSS news feeds - there are thousands out there from small providers to well known providers like the street, salon etc. Even moreover offers their feeds as RSS now.

Then you can incorporate it into your own pages by various js, asp, or cgi scripts.

For a start see [my.userland.com]

and also

[geekboys.org]
[news-is-free.fr]
[news-is-free.com]

(if the last 2 dont work try without the dashes...)

to see how others are using it.

There are some good guides to using RSS but the urls's excape me at the moment. if you need them let me know here and i will look through my bookmarks.

We have our own RSS newsfeed and try to make it as easy as possible for people to use it on their own sites as an alternative to the major players referred to above (which require you to put that embarrassing "to get these newsfeeds on your site for free click here" type messages...)
