IIS 6 Hanging Sites on Dedicated Server
Using Worker Recycle to Fix?

Hi,
Im currently hosting about 4 medium sized sites on a dedicated server.. Theres by far enough power to happily run them and a lot more if needed.

My problem is that after about 30 minutes if the worker pool is recycled the sites hang and just timeout..

Currently Iv disabled Idle Timeout and Changed the recycle to every 5 minutes...

My questions are -

What is a 5 minute recycle doing, i.e. problem wise?

Is there anyway to fix the problem?

Why is it happenning?

Any ideas welcome :)

check the event log, you are using unmanaged resources such as images, db connections etc and not disposing of them causing all the ram to be eaten up.
