Developer Tutorials for Compiling
| 11:48 pm on May 8, 2004 (gmt 0)|
I've finally started doing some dabbling with stuff on my local computer using easyphp.
And now there is just sooooooo much I want to learn! It opened up a whole world of possibilities .. but I'm stuck on what to learn and where to learn it!
I thought that maybe GNU autotools were the way for me to begin ... but even that is Greek to me!
I'm running Windows98 SE ... and when they say stuff like type in :$cfg auto" or chmod:
I don't understand. I know how to chmod files on my ftp server ... but local files? How do I do that and where do I do that?
What is a good program to be able to do these things and a good tutorial for the absolute beginner?

chmod is an FTP command needed on Unix systems.
Windows machines don't have to worry about that - there are only read/write privileges on uploaded files, and those are usually set automatically when you FTP files.
