Greetings,

I am looking for a script to cause a 301 redirect on a domain that lives on a iis shared server.

I can't get to the internet control panel as my hosting company won't allow me, because they said it was a shared server.

The control panel is the only way that I know to do this. Can anyone help me please.

I want the script to do the following.

When someone types in [domain.com...] I want the 301 redirect to send them to [domain.com...]

Best regards,

Scott

This is a great place! Thanks in advance. This information is appreciated.

Hi Scott

What you are looking for is propably an ISAPI URL rewrite filter with the same functionality as mod_rewrite. Do a search on Google. There are plenty of good ISAPI filters out there.

Hi Torben

I appreciate your quick response. I am somewhat challenged as to being a techie. From what I have read here I need a 301 redirect so I can be given credits for the links that I have accumulated in the [domain.com...]

That is the reason that I would like this script. I have links coming to both the www and the no www.

If you can further help, I would appreciate it.

I have search on Google and I am not clear as to what I am getting into.

I have searched for this script here at this website for the last two days and haven't seen what I am looking for. I have exhausted the threads that mention 301 and iis in them.

Thanks again,
Scott
