Help needed with showing photos
Help alternating photos witin page

I'm trying to design an auction site at present. I'm looking for ways of displaying numerous photos (up to 8) in a way that when a user clicks a small thumbnail it changes the main picture on the page. I'm trying to do it similar to **E*b*a*y** . The site will be run in asp with a normal database connection. Love to hear your thoughts on this guys and gals.

There a plenty of software's that create thumbnails and html thumbnail pages.

Ifranview is excellent for manipulating images and Freeware. It also includes the thumbnail/html option

<light bulb goes off>

uk_dokey, that sounds like a good way to display variations of a product, like different color choices, without the user having to view in other browser windows or click off the page and back. They can browse through the selections right in front of them.

It sounds like what you want is something like what a slide show script would do - click on choices, in this case thumbnail photos, and the corresponding full size photos for them would appear in the same spot right on that page.

A search for asp slide show scripts will come up with some, if that's what your're looking for.
