msg:622015 | 1:18 pm on Jul 30, 2005 (gmt 0) | im helping a friend set up a website to sell digital goods, lets say ebooks. we were thinking of using one of the many available pacakges to handle the ecommerce aspect (OSCommerce, xcart, ...) he has authors all over the world that write books on various topics. he wants authors to be able to create an account and upload their product into his database after specifying the title, category, subject etc. can anyone recommend an (ecommerce) package that lets users add items to the database? perhaps they can all handle it, but since i have never used one, i thought i would ask thanks!

I won't do a full review here, as there is lots of information in the outside world, and I will mention it as an option. Also, I have no affilliation with Actinic.

You can also specify that the user can only edit their products and not see or edit other customers products. It's slick. Email me and I can give you details.
