If you are in the USA then you can use PayPal's "Website Payments Pro" with allows for the "transparent" processing you refer to. Their website lists some shopping carts that support this option. jules.

I think you are talking about Paypal API integration. Try searching for that.

The service is called Website Payment Pro. The service requires two parts to be present. One is the "Express Checkout" service which allows a buyer to pay via Paypal. This goes to the Paypal site for buyer to login. The other service uses an API called "Direct Payment" which allows the buyer to stay at your web store while the charge is authorized. Both service options need to be present per the terms of service. You can do a search for "website payment pro" and "direct payment api" with shopping cart.

Here a link to the Paypal Website Payment Pro Overview [paypal.com] . When researching shopping carts I highly recommend reviewing demos. Some shopping cart companies advertise working with the new API, but they lie.

To get a list of carts that have integrated PayPal Website Payments Pro, click the link in the above post, then click on "Learn how to integrate Website Payments Pro" and then click on "integrated shopping carts".
