The company I webmaster for has 11 sites. One for itself and one for each of is subsidiaries. I have been noticing that for the past year Tuesdays have consistantly been the peak day of the week for traffic. Week after week without fail.. Has anyone else noticed this on other e-commerce sites???

I wonder if that is driven in part by somewhat standard practice of releasing new DVD's and CD's on Tuesdays?

My own site (non-commerical and unrelated to those areas) shows Tuesday as the top day of the week also - but by a small margin (<10% over Monday).

Just checked a fairly busy (by my standards :)) travel client - Tuesday wins out over Wednesday by about half a percentage point - 17.68% to 17.1 %.

Monday takes about 13%.

For the last year or two Mondays have neary always been King for us, but over the last couple of weeks tuesday has taken the lead over
Monday, but only by a tiny 0.2%.

what time zone are you all in? could monday be the busiest day? example: people on the west coast are searching on monday @ 9:03 pm when it's really tuesday 12:03 am in EST?

I generally see Tuesday as the busiest day as well followed by Monday. This seems pretty standard for quite a few sites dealing with quite a few different topics.

My site is Monday and Friday (as a Rule). It's even more so if there are big movies coming out for the weekend, or if they just passed a large weekend.

Tuesdays are best for sales though - videos and all of that rot.

tuesdays are my biggest traffic days, but for some reason, mondays have both the least traffic and the highest sales. it's been like that for a long time now, but no idea why.

No clue why, but tuesdays are it for me too. However, its not entirely consistent. Sometimes wednesdays beat them out by a little bit. This past week was a strong tuesday.

tues if best for us with slow decline over the last days of the week, then a more significant fall to around 66% to 50% for Satruday. Sunday is slighly better but that is because for guys in OZ, NZ and Asia it contains several hours already well into their working days. Monday is usually second best. I guess the downward trend is the substantive one, as Mondays for us takes into account for us a fair few hours of very early Monday hours for North Amercian users - more like a weekend.

Like Robber said, Monday's been the strongest day for my sites for close to a year, and only in the last few weeks has Tues matched or exceeded Mon traffic.

For us it just depends on when we send out our weekly newsletter... Right now it's Friday - #2 (when we send out our email) and Monday - #1, for all of those opening them at work.... Tuesday is third...

Tuesday is highest for us, followed by Monday and Wednesday.

Fridays are the worst of the work week.

During summer month in the US, I see Tuesdays peak, probably because of weekend vacationers taking and extra day away from home and work. The rest of the year I see Mondays and Tuesdays rating about the same ... they are the peak days of the week.

We are busiest on Mondays followed by Tuesday. Saturday is the worst.

The site has both b2b content and b2c. Never really tried to separate the traffic but might a good project for a slow Friday.

Tuesdays and Wednesday are the peak days.

Weekends suck. Weekends during the summer really
sucks. At least in online retail.

On our sites hosted in the Mancheser, UK (running on GMT) Tuesday is the day with the highest traffic.

On our sites hosted in Texas, US (GMT -5h), Monday has the highest traffic.
