Recommendations for Protx and other PSPs
Trying to escape from ePDQ's stranglehold

I've been researching UK PSP's we can use in conjuction with our Barclay's merchant account, as ePDQ is extortionately expensive. So far top of the running seems to be Protx, followed by Velocitypay. Does anyone have any experiences (positive or negative) on these to recount, and are these related in particular to the type of e-commerce operation you are running? We would be averaging about 300 transactions a month, with an average transaction total of 200. It seems we'd be significantly better off by switching from ePDQ. I'd appreciate your comments.

Can't offer any pro's or con's for either but just wondered if you had read the ddos thread further down. Looks like Protx are currently the victims of Russian extortionists.

Simon.

How are you supposed to choose then, bear this in mind, and then the alternative provider you choose is targeted at a later stage? What's to prevent any of them being targeted in this way?
