We're having the same problems. Protx payment system won't load and their site, www.protx.com, is down. Will let you know what tech support say.

Yep same here. Still can't access their site, I've noticed that a few sites I use daily are down today - related? When I started using protx about a year ago, downtime seemed to be quite frequent, losing me sales and not giving a particularly good impression to my customers. So I re-wrote my payment side to take the payment info on my own SSL space and debit the card in the background, if the connection to protx fails, I just get notifed and take the payment later on, the customer is none the wiser.

Protx is down, has been for sometime but we've had emails from them keeping us informed - they're undergoing a severe ddos attack..

I haven't received anything from them - are you a "prefered" customer? ;)

Well I'm definitely not a preferred customer and they've sent me something too, so it must just be you Phil :-) Anyway, don't feel left out, but instead check the status here: [protx.com...]

Well - 3 days in and they are still having real problems it appears. Such a shame - not least for my frustrated customers and my bank account of course - but mostly because I felt Protx have been much better than most in terms of keeping clients informed and prices reasonable. Protx are not a Worldpay in terms of scale, and attacks like this won't help them. Dixon.

I agree that this is frustrating for us vendors but can you really blame Protx? It's pretty hard to defend yourself against these massive organised crime DDOS attacks. And Worldpay has certainly had their fair share of downtime due to such targetted initiatives. Receptional - do you not have a way to switch your site over to manual card processing to avoid the downtime? It might be worth looking at a solution.

How is Protx's service in general?
