Help! I am tryimg to put a word document on a page for people to download, I have linked to it under the normal <a href called printer friendy version, the only trouble I have is when people link to it before they can view it comes up asking for a user name and password, if I click cancel on this box then it views fine. Any ideas why this happens.

What software is asking for a password -- is it a browser request or is it Word?

Hi meanweaver, you'd have to change the document settings in Word, ie. Click to Save the document, then select Tools > Save options from the window that appears. Delete the passwords in their respective fields, and save the document again.

Hi meanweaver, that document wouldn't happen to be in a password-protected directory of the site, would it?
