|Rowspan on table causes table to go black|
| 2:49 am on Oct 3, 2003 (gmt 0)|
Just ran into a problem as I was setting up new templates for a retail site client as I was optimizing it for Search engines.
I used a trick i've used in the past to move the good meaty content to the top of the page using the ROWSPAN attribute and having the left nav appear below it in the code.
it works fine for on Mac OSX IE, Camino and Netscape and works well on Netscape 7 on XP.
But alas, it turns the whole table into a lovely shade of black (similar to B Gates' heart) in IE 6.0.2 on XP. (I've not had a chance to kick the tires on any other platforms/browsers yet.)
Any thoughts on debugging this bear? I can post the code to a live site but it would require a fair amount of work that I'd prefer to avoid if possible
