Strange reffer logs

I hope this is the right forum to post this question.

I had a look at our reffer logs and i noticed that one refferer was.

[mydominion@mydominion.com...]

How does it works?

It seems that you can search any website in this way.

The @ sign allows the use of authentication eg:

[username:password@domain.com...]

If the site does not need authentication, then the username and pasword are ignored.
