In the <head> section put... <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" /> (Assumes your favicon is in the root) I think IE only dispays it if you bookmark the page.. but I could be wrong. zoo

It will also disappear as soon as the cache is full or it's cleaned out.

For some reason IE doesn't make full use the favicon like Firefox, Netscape, Opera, etc. I read somewhere that Microsoft originally developed it for IE 5.x as a bookmark tool.
