Hi All,

I'm using a text editor called WebCoder. Web Coder has a built in FTP program, that I've thought would easily upload the new site. The FTP program makes the connection with the server, I sign in with my password, I see all my old files on the web host server, but I can't upload the new files.

I can't get to the new web site files on my PC, when the FTP program connects to the server. What am I doing wrong?

Is there a way to upload my files to the server using just Windows XP?

Thanks,
SenMar

IE supports binary mode ftp (but not ascii mode). Unless you're uploading perl scripts, this is normally ok. You may need to enable ftp and you may need to select passive mode (both available on options¦advanced tab I think). You can then drag and drop files as necessary.

BE AWARE: FTP support in XP can be horrifically slow but this problem was fixed with SP2.

Kaled.
