does anyone have any experience as a publisher in the aptimus network and have a sense of what tyope of sites they allow in their network, there avergae cpm rates seem very high...

I think that's a little misleading for them to refer to that as a CPM rate. If you look through the examples on their site, you earn money for co-registrations. You don't generate advertising impressions throughout your site, but only on the second page of your registration process. They're basically saying that their top producers get $0.10 to $0.50 from co-registration fees for each subscriber they get signed up on their site.
