OK, this has got to be the poster child for star-crossed media buys...

I was just researching a US agricultural vortal and a banner with a very hip-hop design for "Dr Jay's Urban Clothing" came up. I wouldn't be surprised if the webmaster hears from his regular users about that one. Hehehe! Still makes me chuckle to think about it.

But those guys already have baggy jeans... they're called coveralls (or overalls, depending on the part of the country).

Is there such a thing as negative CTR?

Yep....count the amount of users that look at it and say " What the....."

They must be counting on the typical Ag guy to wanna be like Mike (or Jay in this case), and "Just Do It."

Can't you picture some guy riding a tractor bopping around with headphones on?

All of a sudden we start to see more and more gangs popping up in Oklahoma and Iowa! :)

I know of an Ag portal who ran gambling ads a few months ago. One guy wrote the webmaster and said it was a bit redundant - he was already a farmer.

Gambling.. farming.. Yup, pretty close to the same thing.

I did happen to see casino banners on an Ag site and wondered about it. As a travel & relocation site publisher, the only complaint about banners I've received to date was related to online gambling. Of course, I had just about every "offensive" ad server category blocked already.
