| I have a feeling that if Overture was going to come up with a 'contextual ppc thing' like Adsense they would have done so by now. Unfortunately, there's a rumor going around that they won't be opening up such a program anytime soon--their back-end system(s) can't support it.

I think if overture starts Ad service for publishers then that product must be called "OVERsense" for publishers , its quite funny , isn't ;-)

Bill, As I think I mentioned to you in October in the DAIMM meeting, it appears that it's not even close to on the table yet. MQ

They do have a system they just only deal with high traffic sites and make them sign a very restrictive contract. From what I hear it is the best if you can get it. It is supposed to pay a lot better than adsense.

The chances of Overture ever coming up with a program to compete with Google is laughable. Their system is stuck in 1999 and they seem to not even understand that. The reason why only the top domains are using the system is because if more than 5 of them used it, it would break.

>> what's the timetable on the OvertureSense project? Beta testing (or about to be beta testing with the publishers they have brought on board) right now.
