Recommendation for ad tracking software

I am building a site, and am looking for what I need to be able to have ads run on my site. I am looking for the least expensive option at the moment. I also want to maximize my ad revenue, so if there is a service that can do it better than me selling myself I will take it.

Finally what kind of revenue can you assume to make with say 1,000,000 impressions a month?

Assuming you're talking about 468x60 banners, most of the broker services are not signing new publishers right now. Of those that are, they tend to be CPA or -to a lesser extent- CPC deals. For the major ad networks, the net CPM seems to be between .10 and .75 -with most publishers seemingly thrilled at getting .50 or even close to it.

At 1M impressions per month, many of the banner rotation scripts fall apart (been there, done that), so I'd recommend Advertpro. [advertpro.com] I use CentralAd, but their support has apparently died, so I cannot recommend it.

While you are building the traffic, a good option would be to sign up with CJ, clickxchange, or other affiliate networks that offer their own rotation capabilities. You can invest in your own commercial rotation software later.
