CJ Data Feeds
Modifying the pages

I've been in communication with CJ about getting a data feed. I've been trying to get this question answered but they aren't understanding me, maybe some of you will.

When I get the feed, can I modify the pages however I want? For example, I'd like to be able to change the <title> tags for each individual page. Is this possible?

What happens if I get the updated feed? Will my title tag be overwritten?

If this doesn't make sense or something let me know. I'm trying to figure out how these things work and I can't really figure out how the feeds integrate with my current site and what kind of modification I can do to the individual product pages.

I think you will probably need a script to modify what they send you as I'm sure they are sending out the raw data in the same format to all who request the feed. It should be up to the affiliate to modify.

The datafeeds are comma delimited files, you have to convert the data to html or any other web based file (asp, php, etc...), so yes, you can make the title tag anything you want.
