I would like to start an affiliate program with Linkshare but I need a good website that will allow me to post Linkshare content and a good host to host my website. Can anyone recommend a good way to go about developing this site? What I need it to do is to allow me to automatically upload data feeds provided from Linkshare and dynamically display the content. I understand it must be database driven. Any advice would be great!

I advise you not to post content generated from others.

I advise you to build a good site from scratch about a subject that you are familiar with and work in good affiliate links.

From my past experience, this will get you good search engine traffic and true targeted visitors that will purchase from your affiliate links.

thank you for your welcome advice. are you suggesting that we dont use feeds to stock our site?
if the site is one for gifts as an example should we manualy load products to our site? such a site would not lend itself to product information ....or shoud we write information on gifts in general?
thank you so much for any help.

If doing a massive amount of products a feed, from affiliate programs, is the only way to keep up with discontinued products, product id changes or even price changes.

I would use a feed but use a tool with it. There are tools that can manipulate the output from feeds. Do a little seafching and they should jump out at you. I am not saying to avoid original content, I think it is a blend that works the best.

Take care,

I agree with ganderla. For longevity in this business only the content rich sites do well. If you are really serious about affiliate marketing then that's the best way to go about it.

This is how you will build a loyal customer base.
