Advertising promotion advice? Yamaha_R1 msg:537068 3:42 pm on Nov 21, 2005 (gmt 0) As our site grows, it cost more to maintain it. I never want to put this cost on my users; so I sold out some advertising space. Which is paying well.
So I would like to make an 'Advertise With Us' page to self-promote advertising on our site.
Problem is, I'm not really a salesman, or a much bs-er.
I thought I'd start with these catagories.
-Advertise with us
-Benefits of advertising with us -Formats accepted -Contact information
I'm not really sure what to say. I could boast our daily visitors, average click through rate, and current google page rank.
I am fairly fresh fish in the advertising world; so if anyone can point me to some examples or give any advice on how to approach a potential advertiser, I'd apreciate it.

You might want to look up "advertise with us" in a couple of different search engines to see how the better ranked sites lay out their advertising options. There are quite a few different models out there so find one that you like and go for it. You can't get the sale if you don't ask for it. sbskater10 msg:537070 5:21 pm on Nov 22, 2005 (gmt 0)
Don't forget to include visitor demographics. Also, check out W3Schools advertising page: [ ...] It might point you in the right direction. w3schools.com BwanaZulia msg:537071 4:01 pm on Nov 23, 2005 (gmt 0)
I created a simple page /advertise/ and put a few things on there talking about the site whatever.
From there I linked to the "2005 SITENAME Rate Sheet" which is a PDF I created with more information and the different types of advertising programs.
The PDF helps because it prints nicely, you can email it and it looks good.
Seems to work so far.
