Teoma and Ask Jeeves

 12:00 pm on Mar 14, 2002 (gmt 0)

Hi Everyone,

Is Teoma providing results for Ask Jeeves (.com and .co.uk)

All I can see are direct hit results on Ask.com.

If Teoma are providing results. Can someone please give me an example.

Many thanks

The direct hit database is the same database as ASK and Teoma.

I don't think so.

The search results on Teoma are vastly different than Ask Jeeves and Direct Hit ... at least for my site! Perhaps they are all pulled from the same database, but the results are displayed quite differently.

My site has great rankings on Teoma, but it is buried on both Ask and DH.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. They are the same database, however, they use different search technologies and algorithms. The links on the SERP may look like they come from DH but the database is the same.

I don't know if this will help you but I just paid for inclusion on INEEDHITS so that I could get on Teoma and Ask Jeeves. When I search for a keyword, I come up with identical results on both SE for my keywords.

Thanks everyone (so far) for your replies.

cfel2000 are you saying that the results you see in Ask are from Teoma.

For example would you be safe in telling a client that Teoma provide results for Ask.

Please advise.

Many thanks
