| Not Getting Indexed or Banned?

We manage several sites in different sectors. All of which are 4+ years old and are not indexed by Ask. It appears we have a penalty...as do many of our competitors that are also not indexed. Can not understand why we would have a penalty...any ideas...or is Ask just really bad at indexing sites?

I spent a little time on ask.com today. What a joke. Unless they change you won't have to worry about being indexed there.
