Where are you seeing this, I still get like 10 advertisements that fill the screen. When I ping ask.com I am going to 65.214.39.7. I have also been tracking the number of pages I have in their index daily, they still only have around 10% of my pages.

I just went to the main ask site and typed my query. It was directed to [web.ask.com...] Maybe they are doing a limited roll-out or A-B test.

News today that they are now providing results for Lycos. They also look to have dropped the link to Mamma for further results. The Lycos site looks very clean now. Jeeves seems to be making headway!

this is good. The results look much better - one of the reasons I haven't liked to use Jeeves is all the adverts at the top of the page. Mind you - they still frame the websites - that's super annoying.

If you like Ask/Jeeves, you'll probably like this even better [teoma.com ] Teoma is the SE used by Jeeves. Cleaner presentation.

You can switch off the frame - certainly in the UK version - by clicking 'settings', on the top-right of the home page. I agree, damn annoying.
