There is no reason why they shouldn't have an avenue to communicate with the SEMs. I bet they thought this through and said, "everyone will think we are copycats, we better not do this." But when it comes down to it, it just makes good sense and hurts no body. I do find it interesting that they have implemented the nofollow tag for comment links. :)

We've been wanting to do this since September but never got around to prioritizing it with all of our other launches going on (there's a reason they call us the scrappy innovator - we're smaller than they are!). On the other hand, Rusty's right that we can't make decisions based on whether GYM has done something or not. Especially not when it comes to communicating with the search world. We wanted to do this regardless of what they've done. As for nofollow, that was a default setting in Typepad. This has no bearing on or symbolism for our current stance on Nofollow, which is: we're taking our time figuring out what to do with it. Finally, as for the white text, I think that was pilot error Brett. =) Can you let me know what browser or system you were using? No one else has reported this.
