Ask - Teoma Forum

Anyone seen this? Is it new?

Is this an example of corporate portal branding that we may see from other SEs? MyWay claims total freedom from overt ads yet on each page of Dell.myway.com the Dell logo resides on the top of the page.
Does this suggest a new wave of portal branding is in the future in similar smaller portals?
Can SEMs expect to see adjusted SERPs in searches from these sites? Wouldn't Dell expect higher placement from ASK on their own site?

This probably a default search installed with the computer, not necesarily advertising. Ever notice when you buy a gateway it starts up browsers to gateway portal or something? Maybe this is one of those kind of deals.

Maybe more. It represents up to 1 percent of the traffic to Myway acording to Alexa.
By last months count it comes to over 300,000 page views with Dell displayed top page on a portal with no other advertising. I just find it interesting and will look for this as a potential trend for smaller portals.
Thanks for the response.

Who are you? The topic was posted weeks ago and you come to the thread with a personal message? I posted a relevant question to the subject of Ask Jeeves.
If you have an opinion on the topic I would love to hear it.
